Founded on Experience & Expertise

GoodGrip is a division of Goodman Pavement and Materials Engineering Inc. - founded by Dr. Stephen (Steve) Goodman, Ph.D., P.Eng. in 2024. Dr. Goodman has almost 30 years of experience in the field of pavement engineering and construction materials testing. During this time, he has worked for a national technical association, a major Canadian municipality, a large roadbuilding contractor, and a dynamic materials testing firm. His extensive experience for both the private and public sectors allows him to readily understand client needs and provide practical and cost-effective solutions. Dr. Goodman holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialty in pavement texture and friction. Since 2006, Dr. Goodman has served at the pleasure of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Technical Asphalt Association (CTAA) as conference proceedings Editor and is actively involved in the pavement industry through the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC), Ontario Asphalt Pavement Council (OAPC), Canadian Airfield Pavement Technical Group, and ASTM International.
